Join a leading name in longwall mining equipment. NEPEAN Longwall is expanding its workshop team and seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our Mackay-based facility. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge longwall equipment in a supportive, high-performance environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and assembling mechanical components including longwall roof supports, gearboxes, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and testing of longwall systems and components.
  • Working closely with workshop supervisors and leading hands to meet build schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety protocols and workshop procedures.
What You'll Need
  • Australian trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, preferably with exposure to longwall mining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
