About the Roles:

As a Senior Physiotherapist working in one of these varied and rewarding roles, you will apply your advanced clinical skills to provide comprehensive care and physiotherapy treatments to a diverse range of inpatients at Perth Children's Hospital.
In the Acute Respiratory/ICU role, you will work within the paediatric intensive care and high dependency units with young patients facing acute and deteriorating conditions, utilising your specialised skills in intubation and ventilation. In the Subacute Respiratory role, you will provide respiratory physiotherapy for patients with conditions such as cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis, employing manual techniques and specialised devices to enhance lung ventilation and clear secretions. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Prioritising and coordinating your caseload, actively participating in clinical reviews, and completing clinical documentation and administrative tasks.
- Coordinating and supervising P1 physiotherapists, assigning interventions and tasks, and obtaining feedback on patient progress and clinical issues.
- Educating families, carers, and staff to understand the patient's mobility and functional challenges, organising discharge summaries, and completing outpatient referrals as needed.
A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and eligibility for registration by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia is required for this role.
About our Team
Located at Perth Children's Hospital, our Physiotherapy Department comprises over 80 dedicated professionals providing a comprehensive state-wide service to children aged 0-16 years, including inpatient and outpatient services, with transition to adult care for those over 16 years.
