Our Client, Daisy's Garden Supplies Pty Ltd, is your one-stop shop for landscape and building supplies. We have been supplying the trade for decades and continually invest in new trade-focused products such as lightweight soils, aggregates, and hardware. They are currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance & servicing on vehicles & equipment, including but not limited to utes, trucks, trailers, loaders, forklifts, screening plants, and excavators.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic & electrical issues and failures; implement appropriate repairs.
  • Assist with planning maintenance work.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers & management.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, report safety concerns and incidents (including near misses) immediately.
  • Ensure work is performed to a high standard in accordance with expected standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant DGS policies, systems, and processes.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as instructed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification & experience.
  • Competencies to operate mobile plant preferred.
Work Environment
  • Exposed to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, and weather most days.
  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, read, talk, and hear. Regularly lift items of reasonable weight.
  • Move around on and in trucks and mobile equipment regularly.
