Intereach is a not-for-profit organisation with over 50 years' experience delivering services in aged care, children's services, and disability support. We strengthen and improve social and personal wellbeing for individuals, families, older people, carers, and people with disability. Operating across the Riverina-Murray region of NSW and northern and central Victoria, we are committed to building stronger, more connected communities.

Director Role

As a Director, you will work alongside a progressive and transformational Board to provide strategic oversight, ensure strong governance, and champion innovation. You will contribute to the delivery of our new strategic plan and have the opportunity to progress to Chair or Deputy Chair, supported by a mentor.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply Intereach's values and fundamentals in Board decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with Co-CEOs, the Executive, and fellow Directors to set and progress strategic direction
  • Provide strategic expertise in aged care, disability, children's services, or similar sectors
  • Oversee risk management, governance, and budget monitoring
  • Influence and develop policy to strengthen community outcomes
What You Will Bring

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Board Director, Chair, or Deputy Chair
  • Strong strategic thinking, governance, and leadership skills
  • A strong connection to regional and rural communities in Australia

Desirable:

  • Sector expertise in aged care, disability, or children's services
  • Lived experience in community services, healthcare, or education sectors
