The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Support Officer / Junior Project Manager to work within the education industry, to provide essential administrative, logistical, and coordination support for the successful delivery of fundamental projects and key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Support budget management, including maintaining accurate project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Manage and update project issues and risk registers to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive background information and documentation for committee reports, including for Audit & Risk and Finance & Investment Committees.
  • Support the drafting and distribution of communications to stakeholders, ensuring timely updates on project progress through monthly reports, website updates, and internal communication channels.
  • Contribute to the development of resource plans and support the recruitment process, including organising backfilling arrangements once approvals are secured.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for project activities, such as workshops and recruitment actions, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of SharePoint sites for effective management of project documentation.
  • Prepare and disseminate communication materials, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed about project developments and milestones.

Key skills & Experience

  • Experience working on student focused projects, such as student journey mapping or student CRM implementation
  • A good understanding of the student journey experience
  • Information management, data management or data warehouse project experience would be highly desirable
  • Experience amalgamating and analysing data and information
  • Previous experience working in an IT system project environment and previous experience in data cleansing activities will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing large volumes of data records, applying constraints and standards, naming conventions and reformatting into defined templates.
  • Ability to provide analysis of the results of data cleansing with relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective actions to produce a final complete dataset ready for migration.

This is a contract opportunity for an initial 6-month period and is located across their Paramatta and Richmond locations. Flexible hybrid working options are available.
