  • Contract Length: 12 months with 2 x 12-months extensions (Based on the Department's discretion)

About the position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Scheduler to join a large-scale Program Management Office and play a pivotal role in delivering strategic initiatives. This position will see you develop, manage, and optimise integrated program schedules that enable transparent reporting, support informed decision-making, and ensure timely delivery of key milestones. You'll work closely with project managers, technical leads, subcontractors, and senior executives, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and consistency across complex program portfolios.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Develop and manage detailed, integrated program schedules and dependencies.
    • Establish activity sequences, durations, dependencies, and critical paths with delivery teams.
      • Monitor, track, and report on program schedule progress, risks, and variances.
        • Conduct schedule risk analysis and propose mitigation strategies.
          • Perform schedule health checks and quality audits across portfolios.
            • Interface with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and external partners.
              • Prepare and maintain schedule updates and dashboards for executive reporting.
                • Assist in recovery planning to realign projects with delivery milestones.
                  • Ensure compliance with DoF Gateway review processes.
                    • Provide portfolio, program, and project management support activities.
                      • Support resource loading, forecasting, and allocation.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Project Management, or related discipline.
    • 10+ years' experience in program/project scheduling or planning in large, complex environments.
      • Proven expertise in multi-disciplinary, large-scale program delivery.
        • Advanced proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, MS Project, Primavera P6 (or equivalents).
          • Strong grounding in P3M, MSP, AGILE, PRINCE2, or equivalent frameworks.
            • Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced delivery environments.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., P3M, MSP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
    • Experience delivering within Agile or hybrid project environments.
