About your new role: Head of Advice Partnerships

Reporting to the Chief Member Officer, this newly created Senior Leadership Team role, the Head of Advice Partnerships is responsible for leading Brighter Super's national strategy across third-party advice channels — including IFA (Independent Financial Adviser) and TPA (Third Party Administrator) markets. This role owns adviser engagement, onboarding and retention, while also executing Brighter Super's broader advice distribution strategy.

You will be pivotal in shifting the narrative around third-party advice — from a historic outflow model to a sustainable growth engine. With a commercial lens and a strong external presence, you will represent Brighter Super across the financial advice landscape, developing deep partnerships and embedding advice insights across the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a national IFA/TPA sales and distribution strategy
  • Lead adviser and licensee partnerships, including those with Centrepoint Alliance and FAM
  • Manage referral programs, book transitions and scalable advice delivery models
  • Represent Brighter Super through thought leadership, industry events, and strategic forums
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align distribution and advice with product, digital and member experience
  • Build and lead a high-performing partnerships team, focused on growth, retention, and reputation
About you

You are a commercially savvy, well-connected leader who thrives at the intersection of advice, growth, and influence. You're a trusted connector, equally comfortable with strategic negotiation, executive forums, and hands-on execution.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in advice distribution, partnerships or business development
  • Strong understanding of the IFA/TPA landscape and advice industry dynamics
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to drive channel growth and BD outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in superannuation or a financial advice role, or in a related field with relevant industry knowledge.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or business preferable
  • A visible, enterprise-minded approach and ability to work collaboratively across executive teams
