About The Role

As the Head of Department - English, you will lead the development and delivery of the English curriculum in alignment with school and departmental priorities. The role focuses on improving teaching practices, supporting EALD learners, and driving student achievement. You will also build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and the broader school community. The ideal start date for this position is Term 4, 2025.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Department - English, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
• Set high standards for student and staff performance.
• Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
• Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
