Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Accommodation Service (KBYAS ) accommodation and support to young people at our 6 room residential home in the heart of the Goldfields region.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated full time youth worker, based at our Kalgoorlie location. Reporting to the accommodation team leader, you will provide support to young people experiencing homelessness and other trauma in a safe and psychologically informed environment aligning to our National Model of Car - Journey to Independence.

This is a full-time position requiring you to work 9 shifts across a 76 hour working fortnight. This includes days from 7am starting and afternoons finishing at 9pm.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS award, level 4.

You will successfully

Establish effective relationships with young people and key stakeholders to encourage favourable outcomes for young people facing homelessness

Develop an individual case plan in collaboration with young peoples and include a range of interventions that clearly address young people's needs.

Provide advocacy and support in accordance with the contractual requirements of service delivery

Work within managed timeframes both individually and as a member of a larger multi-system team

Maintain accurate and up to date client records and data for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures

Delivery service to young people (some complex) using trauma informed car practice as part of a psychologically informed environment

You will have

Minimum Certificate III in Community services, or significant relevant experience working with youth, youth at risk or within a residential care environment

Experience working with young people - some with complex needs or in a residential care environment

Experience with case management

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office systems

A valid Employee Working with Children Check

A WA Driver's licence

First Aid Certificate
