We are seeking an Allied Health Professional - TEDS L1d) for Clinical Lead - TEDS at the Department of Health, Tasmania. The Tasmania Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service delivering integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder, including Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, North West and South and a statewide Residential Recovery Program (RRP).
Tasmania is part of a nationwide program delivering innovations in eating disorder treatment. We welcome clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care (no prior experience in eating disorders required).
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversee day-to-day operations of the TEDS South, enabling the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care.
- Lead the development and management of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community intensive-based treatment for adults with an eating disorder.
- Optimize clinical processes and client outcomes.
- Effectively manage human and physical resources.
- Provide leadership, direction and change management to facilitate TEDS service development statewide and at a regional level, including development and implementation of the model of care and relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Enhance consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service, including quality, safety and improvement activities and service development co-design initiatives.
- Facilitate implementation of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan and develop collaborative working arrangements with key stakeholders.
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program and registration with the relevant National Board, or full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association for self-regulated allied health professions.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
- Registration/licences essential for the role must remain current and may be checked during employment. Employee is responsible for maintaining current registration/licences and reporting changes.
- Desirable: minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in mental health or relevant field; experience/interest in eating disorders or other mental health conditions; experience in clinical and professional supervision; Eating Disorder Credentialed practitioner; current Driver's Licence.
Fixed term part-time, day worker position, up to 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 4 August 2026. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary and benefits- Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
- Salary range aligned with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
- Allowances and salary progression options subject to qualifications and/or upgrade pathways.
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.
- Benefits available to eligible candidates include travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas appointees and up to $10,000 for interstate appointees; access to a Fitness Passport; study leave and professional development support.
- Required: satisfactory completion of an approved allied health qualification; registration with the relevant National Board; current Working with Children Registration; ongoing validity of required registrations/licenses.
- Desirable: experience in mental health or eating disorders; ability to supervise clinically and professionally; current Driver's Licence.
