Role Overview

The Tasmanian Statewide Audiology Service is seeking a highly skilled Lead Clinical Speech Pathologist to join our team in Diagnostic and Cochlear Implant Audiology.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical leadership, coordination and speech pathology services to clients seen in the Statewide Audiology Service (includes the Tasmanian Cochlear Implant Clinic & Diagnostic Audiology Clinic)

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in paediatric speech pathology services within a multidisciplinary framework, as well as demonstrated knowledge of the impact of hearing loss on speech, language and communication.

About the Position

This permanent, part time role involves working 10.25 hours per fortnight and commencing as soon as possible.

Requirements
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in providing paediatric speech pathology services within a multidisciplinary framework
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impact of hearing loss on speech, language and communication
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative to work with minimum supervision in a complex working environment
