This is your opportunity to create, connect, inspire & bring learning to life for children and youth in the Shellharbour community.
Working with the Library Programs Team, the Children's & Youth Librarian will deliver and promote engaging library programs, collections, and services tailored to the needs and interests of children and young people. You will drive improvements in developing, implementing, and delivering a range of diverse and innovative library programs for children and young people.
You will foster literacy, creativity, and access to services through a wide range of programming, workshops, and collections, whilst developing relationships with community stakeholders.
To be successful, you will have :
- Tertiary qualifications in Library & Information Services and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people.
- Creativity and innovation, with experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating library services, collections, and programs for children and young people.
- Knowledge of contemporary library trends and services.

We offer :
- Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexi-time, including evening and weekend shifts.
- Starting salary from $80,010 - $83,243 per annum, based on qualifications and experience, with annual progression potential.
- Plus 12% superannuation.
