Data Risk and Governance | Risk Management Group

Our Risk Management Group is dedicated to ensuring Macquarie meets its Enterprise Data Management obligations while improving confidence in the quality of our data. We collaborate with stakeholders across Macquarie's support businesses to bring critical data usages under governance and manage data risks effectively.

What role will you play?

As a Data Governance and Risk Manager, you will work closely with data owners to bring enterprise-critical data usages under governance. You will document data flows, identify and assess data risks, and implement controls. You will also develop data governance methodologies, train stakeholders, and provide advisory support. The role includes identifying data gaps and recommending strategic remediation, as well as coaching team members.

What you offer
  • 5+ years' experience in data management or operational risk management, preferably within financial services
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to build rapport across all organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders, and handle multiple projects
  • Experience in data quality issue management
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management tools like Collibra, and data profiling and quality solutions such as Informatica IDQ or Dataiku is a plus
