We are looking for a skilled Senior Workforce Planning Consultant (Strategic Workforce Planning) on a permanent full time basis to lead the ongoing development of our strategic workforce planning process & initiatives. This pivotal role will work across the organisation as part of key business planning processes and programs to understand key strategic workforce requirements from a quantitative and qualitative perspective. It is also responsible for analysing our corporate strategy alongside emerging trends in strategic human resources, workforce development, and industry best practices to shape and implement effective workforce planning strategies.
Your Role in Action
- Defining, refreshing and overseeing an agreed Strategic Workforce Plan (SWP), and approved SWP applications and initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise level SWP and planning model, including processes, programs, initiatives, and toolkits, for use throughout Western Power.
- Proactively analyse and monitor key plans, performance outcomes and risks at an organisation and business client level to identify strategies and initiatives to successfully facilitate the development of Western Power's Workforce Plan.
- Provide workforce insights in response to the annual cycle of corporate requirements related to the Western Power Corporate Strategy, business planning, annual reporting, and budget preparation.
- Analyse internal and external workforce data to provide genuine insights into the SWP and inform business decisions.
- Act as the "go-to" and definitive resource for support in resolving complex issues relating to strategic workforce planning.
- Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure their involvement and "buy-in" with the initiative and the successful implementation of solutions.

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Extensive and broad demonstrated experience in Strategic Workforce Planning within a complex operational environment and/or development of organisational level strategy
- Prior experience in developing / implementing strategic workforce planning systems and process.
- Experience in summarising and analysing workforce data to provide insights.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to think creatively, take initiative, plan and execute complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and coordinate other professionals.
