Senior Planning Consultant

Add expected salary to your profile for insights As Senior Consultant in our Planning division you will you'll take ownership of planning initiatives—guiding them from concept to completion within budget and timeframes.
Drawing on your expertise in planning frameworks and strong industry relationships, you'll provide strategic advice, prepare and submit planning applications, and navigate complex negotiations with local authorities and stakeholders.
You'll be the face of our clients in key planning meetings and determinations, building meaningful partnerships and shaping outcomes that align with their goals.

Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance on planning policy and other regulatory approvals Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Analyse, develop and implement strategies in relation to market trends and future requiremenst to identify opportunities to efficiently and cost-effectively achieve project outcomes Contribute as appointed within project teams, including directing consultants and sub-consultants, ensuring completion on budget, and within agreed timeframes Maintain knowledge or identification of significant external affairs project risks to ensure risks are mitigated and solutions are provided Project management proficiency, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest level meeting client requirements Investigate and pursue potential partnership and client opportunities, aligning and supporting the overall corporate strategy About You You will have: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with 4-5 years experience.
Experience in managing strategic and/or statutory planning projects.
Demonstrated experience managing complex tasks and projects including budgets and deliverables.
Consultancy and/or client management experience, including the ability to negotiate outcomes with key stakeholders and manage expectations.
Considerable experience working with a variety of public and private stakeholders.
High level written skills including experience with preparing project briefs and programs.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills, and the ability to solve problems.
Highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills, ability to build quality relationships with clients both new and exisiting.
