Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Tate's market position by supporting the Regional Sales Manager, working with the BID teams and various other stakeholders internally & externally. As part of the role, you will be supporting the sales of our product ranges in structural ceilings, data centre containment solutions, security caging and modular systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support RSM to manage Data Centre End Users, General Contractors and Consultants in Australia and NZ.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased opportunities.
  • Work with BID team and RSM to deliver accurate tenders and price lists.
  • Follow up opportunities and cold call as appropriate within your market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals.
  • Ensure product line penetration is maximized on all project opportunities.
  • Support Dealer deliveries and quality enquiries.
  • Development of dealer's architectural presence supporting Tate products.
  • Work with marketing coordinator to ensure sales documentation is in-line with regional requirements.
  • Maintaining Salesforce opportunities to ensure accurate sales forecasting.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote Tate products and network with potential clients.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and dealers when required.

Dealers and partners across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Education, work experience & skills and personal attributes

Education

  • Bachelor's degree: business and engineering majors preferred.

Work experience and skills

  • 3-5 years in a sale related role; within construction industry preferred.
  • Technical understanding of construction methodology preferred, architectural and/or structural ideal.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hardworking, persistent, and dependable.
  • Ability to multi-task.
