Casual Recreation Centre - Customer Service Officer

Who we are

Randstad is seeking casual Customer Service Officers and/or Kiosk Attendants to join the Golden Grove Recreation and Arts Centre and Turramurra Recreation Centre. These roles will be based at dual locations. These North Eastern based centres are among Adelaide's leading venues for performances, functions, events, and sports hire. Located in the City of Tea Tree Gully, the Golden Grove Recreation and Arts Centre features a 3-court stadium, meeting rooms, and theatres. It operates 7 days a week, up to 16 hours daily. The Turramurra Recreation Centre has a two-court stadium, two studios, a meeting room, and kiosk, offering junior and senior netball and basketball competitions, junior gym programs for children aged 0 to 5 years, a creche, fitness programs for adults, and specialised fitness and strength training programs for seniors.

The Role

We are seeking friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic Customer Service Attendants. The role may include assisting in the Junior Gym Program, so a love for working with kids and chatting with parents is essential. A passion for customer service, along with a bubbly, helpful, and enthusiastic nature, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to all patrons
  2. Collaborate effectively within a team environment
  3. Assist with the Junior Gym program on Tuesdays and Fridays mornings, being physically fit to set up and pack down equipment
  4. Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions appropriately
  5. Assist the kiosk coordinator with daily tasks
  6. Serve snacks, meals, and hot/cold drinks in the kiosk area
  7. Respond appropriately to emergency situations
  8. Resolve problems and handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally

The successful candidate will have a passion for customer service and a proven track record in food and beverage handling and service. Clear and personable communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Qualifications

  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Barista Certificate (highly regarded)
  • Food handling certificate (highly regarded)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (highly regarded)
  • First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
