Job Description

Nine's Corporate Tax Team has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Analyst to join our Finance team

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you'll play a key role in the tax compliance and advisory for all tax matters of Nine and its controlled entities. This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills in a corporate environment and gain exposure to a wide range of tax matters.

Day to day you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for the NEC tax consolidated group and its controlled entities
  • Assist in the preparation of income tax forecasts and provisions, with maintenance of the tax fixed assets register
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS
  • Assist in the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and with other employment related taxation obligations such as payroll tax and superannuation guarantee matters
  • Liaise with the ATO and assisting in maintaining the income tax consolidated and GST groups and other tax/revenue related registrations
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team with a view to consistently improving tax processes
  • Other tax related duties and projects as required

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in taxation or accounting are essential
  • CA or CPA qualifications commenced or about to commence is desirable
  • Exposure to any Big 4 or chartered accounting firm and/or corporate environment is highly desirable
  • Advanced skills in Word and Excel
  • Skills in Microsoft D365 and in tax software such as Tax Automate are desirable but not essential
  • Strong skills in multiple stakeholder management, written and verbal communication and commitment to meeting deadlines are essential
