As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electronic Equipment Trades Technician with a background in fitness to join our team on a full-time basis.

Job Description

As an Electronic Equipment Trades Technician at Orbit, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fitness and gym equipment. Your role will ensure that our products are in optimal working condition, providing a safe and effective workout experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and maintain electronic components and systems of fitness and gym equipment focusing on accurate setup and integration of electronic and hydraulic components.Diagnose and repair intricate electronic faults, ensuring the integrity and functionality of circuit boards, control systems, and sensors.Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.Calibrate instruments and control systems to the manufacturer's exact specifications to ensure high performance and reliability.Provide technical support and training to customers and staff.Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and experience

AQF Certificate IV or at least 3 years proven experience in servicing electronic and mechanical systems, preferably in fitness or similar equipment.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microcontrollers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).Familiarity with software used for diagnostics and repairs.Knowledge of current industry standards and best practices.

Benefits
