Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best
Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It is a catalyst for wider rail transformation underway across the South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also tasked with multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements, and the introduction of a new world-class digital train signalling system.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to region-shaping infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
As the Senior Document Controller, you will lead the Delivery Authority's Document Control function, providing operational oversight and expert guidance to ensure document management services support compliance, reporting, and governance across the project.
You will coordinate daily workflows and mentor team members, fostering best practices and continuous improvement in document control. This role oversees the Project Document Collaboration System (PDCS) and supports system functionality across TeamBinder and Content Manager (TRIM), in collaboration with the System Administrator. You'll also facilitate technical review workflows, manage formal Requests for Information, and contribute to the successful delivery of handover and handback documentation.
Working closely with internal teams and external Alliance partners, you will play a key role in aligning document control processes with project requirements throughout all phases of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership to the Document Control team and manage daily workflows
- Guide document management strategies throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
- Lead project handover and handback documentation delivery to meet contractual obligations
- Support system functionality and reporting in TeamBinder, escalate technical issues as needed
- Represent the Document Control function in internal and external stakeholder forums
- Provide level 1 and 2 user support across PDCS, TeamBinder, and TRIM
- Review and advise on Document Management, Configuration, and Change Management Plans
- Facilitate integrated data sharing and support compliance with project information governance
- Develop workflows and automate document control processes to improve efficiency
- Build trusted relationships across Program Information Management, Legal, Commercial, and Alliance partners
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a senior document control role, including team leadership, mentoring, and coaching, as well as the implementation of document control strategies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Strong working knowledge of document management systems, with experience using at least one platform such as TeamBinder, Content Manager (TRIM), or ProjectWise.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, maintain document integrity, manage workflows, prioritise tasks, and respond effectively to urgent Requests for Information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with stakeholders, senior management, and auditors, and represent Document Control at meetings.
- Understanding of document control requirements across the full project lifecycle, including start-up, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Ability to provide authoritative advice on document control and records management, ensuring compliance with contractual and governance obligations.
