Operations Centre Analyst

Nowra, NSW

CHC Helicopter is a leader in the provision of helicopter support to the offshore energy market, search & rescue, and government departments, as well as organizations requiring helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul services through its Heli-One division.

CHC Helicopter is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Operations Centre Analyst to join our fast-paced team in Nowra, New South Wales.

This role is a key member of the Defence Search and Rescue contact management team and responsible for the management, coordination and control of aircraft life support role equipment, deployment planning, crew scheduling and travel across the DSARS contract. This role is responsible for ensuring that all travel requirements are planned and arranged for pilots, engineers, aircrew and support staff on DSARS contract.

This position will work closely with Contract Manager, bases, ROCC, Engineering teams and department to ensure crew members and their equipment are in place and ready to work at their assigned duty location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Roster Management: Ensuring adequate coverage across all locations, including planning for deployments, leave, and training activities – such as simulator sessions.
  • Travel & Scheduling: Planning and scheduling all travel related activities in line with roster management.
  • Deployment Support: Providing logistical support under the direction of the DSARS Contract Manager. This may involve securing critical supplies such as fuel and other essentials, particularly in remote or isolated locations.
  • Life Support and Role Equipment Oversight: Actively managing all contract-assigned equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Harnesses and harness assemblies
    • Immersion suits
    • Flight and mission helmets
    • Other mission-critical role equipment

The role also includes the onboarding and offboarding of personnel, ensuring all issued equipment is appropriately tracked, maintained, and returned in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in operations coordination, logistics, or scheduling within aviation, defence, or similar high-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with crew rostering, travel planning, and deployment logistics.
  • Experience managing equipment and supplies, preferably in remote or challenging locations.
  • Prior exposure to aviation support operations or contract-based service delivery is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling/travel management systems.
  • High attention to detail, especially in tracking equipment and managing personnel movements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements
