Overview

Carnarvon Community College is seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Secondary Generalist Teacher, you will provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to meet a range of learning needs. You will deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. You should have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students successfully.

You will ideally be able to teach one or more learning areas, preferably Mathematics, Science, English, Digital Technologies and/or Humanities and Social Sciences. You should be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment with high accountability and expectations to ensure all students reach their potential. Eligibility and Qualifications

To work with us, you must:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start
