RoleBalcatta SHS is seeking to appoint a friendly and enthusiastic Secondary Generalist Teacher to join our team. As a Generalist teacher working across a number of learning areas, you would ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to supporting and improving students to achieve their full potential. To be successful, you should have broad skills and proficient knowledge across different curriculums to deliver quality lessons and engage students. Knowledge and practical experience across the Home Economics, Italian and Performing Arts learning areas is desirable. The ideal applicant should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, staff and the wider community. The ability to build and develop positive relationships with students is paramount. The successful applicant will ideally be able to apply different teaching strategies to connect with students, create a safe and engaging learning environment and improve student outcomes. The capacity to use data and make evidence-based decisions to promote learning and excellence is highly desirable. Experience with High Impact Teaching Strategies would be desirable as the school has an established Whole School Instructional Framework.
