Responsibilities
  • Carry out assessments of Development/Building Approval applications in a timely manner, ensuring client KPIs are met.
  • Conduct comprehensive building inspections and assessments to identify structural, safety or compliance issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders regarding building regulation matters.
  • Prepare and process documentation relating to building approvals, inspection reports and occupancy certificates.
  • Review building plans and drawings to assess compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and planning requirements.
  • Liaise with local authorities, architects, builders and other stakeholders to ensure seamless processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest changes to building and planning regulations and industry best practices.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and skills in building surveying through participation in training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with relevant building and planning codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and best practices in domestic building surveying / certification.
  • Provide support to the Domestic division of Checkpoint NSW (Northern NSW Region) as required.
  • Maintain CPD points required to maintain licences, registrations and accreditation.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Building Surveyor / Certifier and/or inspector in QLD
  • Proficient in Building Surveying/Certification in QLD
  • Recognised Bachelor's Degree and/or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying
  • Current QBCC Certifier / Inspector Licence is preferred
