Responsibilities
Carry out assessments of Development/Building Approval applications in a timely manner, ensuring client KPIs are met.
Conduct comprehensive building inspections and assessments to identify structural, safety or compliance issues.
Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders regarding building regulation matters.
Prepare and process documentation relating to building approvals, inspection reports and occupancy certificates.
Review building plans and drawings to assess compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and planning requirements.
Liaise with local authorities, architects, builders and other stakeholders to ensure seamless processes.
Stay up-to-date with the latest changes to building and planning regulations and industry best practices.
Continuously enhance knowledge and skills in building surveying through participation in training programs, workshops, and seminars.
Ensure 100% compliance with relevant building and planning codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Stay updated on changes in legislation and best practices in domestic building surveying / certification.
Provide support to the Domestic division of Checkpoint NSW (Northern NSW Region) as required.
Maintain CPD points required to maintain licences, registrations and accreditation.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Building Surveyor / Certifier and/or inspector in QLD
Proficient in Building Surveying/Certification in QLD
Recognised Bachelor's Degree and/or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying
Current QBCC Certifier / Inspector Licence is preferred
