This role will lead a program delivery support team in the provision of program delivery office functions and services, including secretariat services, dependency management, program and project performance management, including reporting requirements aligned to whole of government requirements, risk and governance. The role will manage the program delivery office processes and provide program and project management discipline advice and support to Senior Stakeholders and a team of project managers and support staff for the implementation of large scale, complex IM/ICT initiatives.

Whilst program and project management experience is well regarded, this role is not a delivery lead role, but a role focused on providing delivery support.

About you

We are searching for someone with:

  • Demonstrated high level program/project management skills and the ability to design and implement plans and performance reporting leading to the delivery of successful programs/projects and effective management of risk.
  • Proven experience managing a program delivery office including the creation and improvement of key program artefacts
  • Proven experience with the application of quality assurance controls within a project and/or program environment including an excellent understanding and application of the PRINCE2 methodology and products
  • Advanced communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide advice, consult and negotiate with senior management and a diverse range of stakeholders on complex and strategic issues, build effective client and stakeholder relationships in an environment of change.
  • Demonstrated success in providing leadership, management and motivation to a team with a strong focus on meeting outcomes, and in compliance with human resource policies.
