Salary: $77,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare a wide variety of Italian dishes, including antipasti, pasta, risotto, meats, and pizzas
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff and provide training as required
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards
  • Estimate food and labour costs, and assist in ordering supplies and stock control
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning, specials, and seasonal updates
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations
  • Monitor portion sizes and waste to maintain profitability
  • Ensure the efficient operation of kitchen equipment and liaise with maintenance when required
  • Comply with workplace health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications & Experience
  • Trade qualifications as Chef. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or above
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in an Italian restaurant setting
  • Good knowledge of Italian Cuisine and spices is required
  • High level of discipline and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent personal hygiene and presentation
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
