Executive Chef Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team.

About the Role:

The role involves preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to our residents' dietary needs. As part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

You will oversee the preparation and cooking of meals, manage stock control, replenish and order supplies as needed, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with our Occupational Safety and Health standards and supervise and provide direction to Kitchen Hands as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook high-quality, nourishing meals for our residents.
  • Ensure adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock control, replenish and order supplies as needed.
  • Comply with occupational safety and health standards.
  • Supervise and provide direction to Kitchen Hands as required.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef in large-scale meal production.
  • Experience in production environments.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary nutrition for elderly residents.
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
