The Department of Medicine at the Mackay Base Hospital is looking for a General Physician - Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Region has a thriving economy that includes a diverse range of tourism, agriculture, industry, mining, education, and health industries.

The Department of General Medicine manages patients with a diverse range of multiple active co-morbidities or undifferentiated illnesses above the age of 16 years that require ongoing inpatient, ward-based hospital care. We are a busy inpatient service with consultation and outpatient clinic responsibilities.

Salary Information (L18 – L24, L25 – L27):

Total remuneration value of up to $483,619 (L24) is comprised of:

• A salary between $210,332 - $244,313 (L18-L24)

Total remuneration value of up to $528,464 (L27) is comprised of:

• A salary between $251,527 - $266,677 (L25-L27)
