Practice Information
This practice is a well-known and respected private family practice, operating in Mackay for over 30 years. They currently have one doctor working full time and another GP working part time. The practice has continual patient growth and is seeking a new, valuable GP to join their friendly small family practice. The practice is a private billing practice. However, bulk-billing is offered and assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Our surgery is a unique architectural heritage building, renovated to suit GP needs, and we enjoy our extremely large loyal patient base. You can expect supportive and dedicated staff who share our core mission for quality patient-centred care. Positive word of mouth referrals from satisfied patients keep the practice continuously busy year-round and confirm the high standard of work this practice provides.

Mackay is a beautiful town on the East Coast of Queensland. It is 970km North of Brisbane and 324km South of Townsville. The Mackay area has a tropical climate with warm summers and a wet season from around December through to March. The winter days are mostly sunny and cool. The main industries supporting the Mackay region are sugar cane farming and mining. Mackay has access to a large number of beautiful beaches and is only a 90-minute drive to Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. The region is family-friendly and perfect for raising a young family. There are an abundance of schools and activities for children of all ages, and the housing market offers value for money with the prospect of large homes for well below city market prices.

Position Description:
They are searching for a GP to join their family practice, which has been operating in Mackay for over 30 years. We are seeking a GP who ideally has experience in skin cancer management.

After Hours: No

Qualifications and Experience:

- MBBS;
- FRACGP or ACCRM qualification
- General Practitioner Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Permanently living and working rights in Australia
- Experience in skin cancer medicine is preferable
- Long-term locum position may be considered for the right candidate
