Established Trawling company operating in the Australian Fishing Zones is seeking full-time positions in the fishing industry, including Ships Master, Ships Engineer, Master Fisher, Ships Officer, Deckhands & Fishing Hands, and Seafood Processors.

This company maintains a drug & alcohol-free workplace; employees may be subject to random testing as a condition of employment. Candidates should be based in the specified region but may be required to work elsewhere based on operational needs.

  • Ship's Officer

Applicants for ranked positions should ideally have at least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Sea time of less than 5 years may be considered if supported by experience. For positions requiring licenses or registration, appropriate tickets are mandatory.

  • Fishing and Deckhands

Require at least 1 year of Australian work experience, preferably in crab catching and handling, evidenced by sea-time or logbook. Verifiable references are also acceptable.

All positions require verifiable references. Candidates should be physically fit, as work involves deck operations in heavy seas and confined spaces. Ranked roles may include managing fishing operations in coordination with company owners.

Work involves being away at sea for several days or weeks, with short turnaround periods.

Salary or catch percentage will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills, and experience, aligned with industry standards.

Salary Range:
  • Ship's Master: $120,000+ (negotiable)
  • Ships Engineer (Fishing): $72,000 - $82,000
  • Master Fisher: $75,000 - $82,000
  • Ship's Officer: $72,000 - $80,000
  • Deck and Fishing Hands: $68,800 - over $76,515

All salaries include government-regulated superannuation.

Seafood Processors
  • Seeking experienced seafood processing workers for full-time and seasonal roles.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with verifiable references is preferred.

Typical duties include unloading seafood, moving products to chillers and tanks, sorting, dressing, filleting, shellfish processing, loading, packing, inspecting, grading, and operating processing machinery. Responsibilities also include cleaning and adhering to safety regulations.

Wages for Seafood Processors:

Between $68,800 and over $76,515 annually plus superannuation, depending on experience.
