Senior Recruitment Coordinator at Woods & CoWoods & Co Recruitment are thrilled to be working with one of Melbourne's most iconic and fast-growing hospitality brands in their search for a Head of Production. Known for their cult-status and quality-driven food offering, this is a brand with big plans - and they've just opened a state-of-the-art production facility to help bring them to life.
We're looking for a dynamic, hands-on leader with a passion for systems, processes, and scalability. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the production and logistics side of the business, taking full ownership of a new facility while preparing operations for future expansions and the continued growth of the business.
This role is ideal for someone with experience running central kitchens or production facilities who's ready to lead from the front and make a meaningful impact.

What do you do?
- Oversee daily operations of a brand-new central production facility supplying multiple high-volume stores.
- Manage a team of production staff across prep, baking, and dispatch - ensuring consistency, speed, and quality.
- Lead workforce planning, daily scheduling, and shift optimisation to meet demand across all locations.
- Creating processes and systems that improve workflow, product quality, and efficiency of the team on the production floor.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards across the production floor.
- Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting, recipe consistency, and seamless handover to stores.
- Use data and platforms to monitor production output, streamline logistics, and improve performance.
- Support the business in expansion planning and execution, ensuring the production function is ready to service new openings.
What do you need?
- Proven experience managing centralised food production operations - ideally in QSR environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train, and inspire a high-performing team.
- Deep understanding of kitchen workflows, batch production, and daily volume targets across multiple sites.
- A process-driven mindset - constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and scale effectively.
- Experience implementing and working with production or inventory management software.
- Comfortable managing logistics and coordinating deliveries across multiple store locations.
- A hands-on operator who takes ownership and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Passion for food, quality, and building systems that support long-term success.
