Your Impact

As a Trainee Educator at Goodstart, you will help give children the best start to their school journey. With support from your Centre Leadership Team, Teachers, and Educators, you will be empowered to develop your career while working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.

You will achieve this by :

  • Maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and staff
  • Complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures, and Requirements
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children and families
  • Contributing to the education program and team activities
  • Supporting reflective practice and continuous improvement
  • Fostering a professional and positive work culture

To be eligible for a Traineeship, you must not hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. Applicants with a school-based certificate other than in childcare are still eligible.

In addition, you must have :

  • The willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Flexible availability
  • Interest in early childhood education
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Proof of immunization against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Whooping Cough (Pertussis) (or willingness to receive)
