Our Centre : Bright Stars Montessori Preschool is a long daycare facility that offers a unique and child-first approach to child development. The strong educational component of our curriculum allows us to bridge the gap between traditional childcare and kindergarten. We believe our preschool creates an environment where every child's needs are catered for holistically.

Currently at one of our centres in Minchinbury, NSW, there is a vacancy for a full-time Child Care Centre Coordinator.

Tasks & responsibilities :

  1. Overseeing the daily operations of the service, including staff management, scheduling, and program implementation.
  2. Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
  3. Implementing policies and procedures to support the service's goals and objectives.
  4. Managing timesheets and operating the floor efficiently while maintaining ratios.
  5. Collaborating with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
  6. Training and supporting childcare educators to ensure a high-quality standard of care across the service.
  7. Planning and organising educational programs and activities aligned with the EYLF & NQS.
  8. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the service and implementing improvements as needed.
  9. Communicating effectively with families about their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
  10. Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in early childhood education to continuously improve the service's overall operation.
  11. Leading and mentoring educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships.
  12. Leading and developing the team to deliver high-quality planning, curriculum, and outcomes for each child.
  13. Ensuring meaningful documentation of children's learning is visible, accessible to families, and meets regulatory requirements.
  14. Creating an engaging and stimulating environment indoors and outdoors.
  15. Maintaining positive working relationships with all team members.
  16. Ensuring high standards of health & safety are maintained at all times.

Requirements :

  1. An AQF Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  2. At least 3 years' experience in a similar capacity.
  3. Effective communication skills in English.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team.
  6. Proficiency in childcare software.
  7. Attention to detail.

Salary : $76,600 - $80,000 p.a. plus Superannuation.
