Credit Officer

Job Description- Managing and maintaining customer accounts, ensuring timely payments are received.
- Conduct credit checks and assess customer credit applications.
- Follow up on overdue payments and negotiate payment plans where necessary.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure data accuracy within the company's systems.
- Prepare and distribute customer statements and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage credit limits for customer accounts.
- Provide regular updates to management on outstanding debts and collection efforts.
- A complete understanding of credit control and strength in end-to-end receipting practices.
- 3-5 years of prior experience in a similar role.
- Proficiencies in various tier-one accounting and finance software systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- A competitive remuneration package of $80,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation, commensurate with experience.
- Initial 6-month contract role with chances for extensions / permanency.
