Invest Blue has an exciting opportunity to join us in Newcastle. We are seeking a part-time (3 days per week) Accounting Administration Assistant to work in the Newcastle office, joining the energetic accounting team.

About you:
- Recently completed studies in Accounting or Office Administration and ready to start your career.
- Motivated team player with great people skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet goals.

Key role responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional client service through initial and ongoing support.
- Assist with accurate, compliant taxation support and administrative tasks for accountants.
- Proactively communicate with clients, accountants, and the ATO to keep records current.
- Manage work progress reporting and task prioritization.
- Make proactive phone calls to ensure ongoing support services.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in delivering exceptional client service in a client-facing environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and scheduling skills with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure within a compliance framework.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero) is desirable but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Desirable but not mandatory: Tertiary qualifications in business administration, financial services, or a related discipline (completed or near completion).
- Standard background checks including criminal history, bankruptcy, ASIC.
The remuneration package ranges between $55,000 - $60,000 (full-time equivalent) plus superannuation, depending on education and experience.
