About Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health

Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation providing a comprehensive range of free and low-cost health, wellbeing and community services in early childhood, youth, families, adults, aged and disability.

Covering an area of over 1700 km 2 from Sunbury to beyond the borders of Macedon Ranges Shire our 220 staff and 70 volunteers are based across four sites at Kyneton, Romsey and Sunbury.

The organisation has a proud history of delivering community health services to the region for over 40 years.

About the Role

The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a key role in supporting the organisation's marketing and communication strategies, promoting services and programs, and enhancing community engagement. The role involves written and visual content creation, digital marketing, media liaison, and internal communications. The Marketing and Communications Officer will help support the work required as part of the upcoming merger with Nexus Primary Health.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

Development of electronic media resources including graphics and tiles, videos and word contentDevelopment of print and electronic materials including flyers, posters, presentations and newsletters

Digital Marketing and Communications

Support the maintenance of the organisation's social media platforms, website and internal intranetMonitoring social media activities of partners and other key stakeholdersCollection and analysis of performance data from our social media platforms and websiteSupport SEO and SEM initiatives to improve online visibility

Media and Public Relations

Assist in the drafting of media releases, coordination of media opportunities and maintain media contactsAssist in organising and supporting community events and external promotional activities

Internal Communications

Support internal communication initiatives to keep staff informed and engagedAssist in the development of staff newsletters and intranet contentSupport the development and production of reports including the Annual Report and the Strategic Plan

Branding and Organisational Voice

Ensure the organisation's band guidelines are adhered to and that there is consistent use of the brand across all communication platformsMaintain the organisation's values and voice in all public-facing materialsSupport the updating of the organisation's brand across all touch points following the merger, for example, signage, vehicles, uniforms, templates, digital platforms
