About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference? We are looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to provide quality care and support to people with disability to empower them to achieve their goals and live a life of their choosing.

As a Disability Support Worker (DSW) you will be working in a variety of areas at VMCH such as:

  • Community programs
  • One to One support
  • Skill development programs including our CR8 shed, Café and other Social Enterprises
  • Supporting our clients with their transition to employment

These are Casual positions based in Wangaratta.

About you

You will be an experienced DSW who enjoys variety and can easily adapt to the requirements of the role.

To be successful you will require:

  • Certificate IV in Disability (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience in Disability Support and knowledge of the Disability sector
  • Providing quality care and support empowering people with disabilities to live the lifestyle of their choosing
  • Passion for providing 'person centred care'
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Current Victorian Driver licence
  • NDIS Check, WWC and Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR are essential
