Overview

The Successful Candidate Will Be Given An Opportunity To Participate In Improving Other People's Lives By Delivering Person-centred Services, Working With a Range Of Clients (across The Age Span) With Various Needs (from Short-term Involvement, To Complex, Long-term Needs). This Will Involve, But Is Not Limited To:

Responsibilities
  • Providing behaviour support for children and adults with complex disability and psycho-social support needs; complex mental health issues; and trauma based presentations;
  • Conducting a range of assessments of a client's presenting issues and support needs, and identifying appropriate supports, interventions and service models;
  • Designing, developing and implementing intervention plans and strategies;
  • Facilitating the delivery of clinical frameworks and activities;
  • Providing client support including clinic or home-based sessions, training and resource development;
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes.

Our office is based in Success. The position will require regular travel around the Perth metro area, and an occasional regional travel. There is also an option to work from home for administration/report writing.

Qualifications / Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology or a related discipline (e.g.: Education; Habilitation; Social Work; etc.) relevant to the field of behaviour support;
  • Registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (experience in providing direct behaviour support);
  • Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and/or trauma who have complex needs;
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodiverse populations;
  • Experience in clinical and/or behaviour assessment, intervention and support in disability, out-of-home care and related sectors;
  • Experience in providing practice or clinical supervision to other practitioners (desirable);
  • Experience working with individuals who have had contact with the juvenile or criminal justice system (desirable).

Due to the nature of our business, it is required that our staff:

  • have a current Driver's Licence;
  • have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.
