General Practice Nurse – Bribie Island, Queensland.

About the Role :

The practice is seeking a passionate and experienced General Practice Nurse to join their team. With multiple roles available, you will be an integral part of their dedicated healthcare team, delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our busy general practice.

What You'll be Doing :

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering injections, wound dressings, and other clinical procedures
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, in line with medical practice and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with our team of general practitioners to deliver comprehensive and personalised patient care
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures
  • Actively participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities :

Wound managementVaccinations - Adult & ChildrenHandling Emergencies & TriageProcedures including Venesection's and BiopsiesECG and SpirometryEar SyringingSterilisation of instrumentsHealth Management including health assessment'sPreparing kits / trolley's for minor surgical proceduresCOVID / Flu Vaccination ClinicsInventory and Stock Management

Position Requirements :

Current AHPRA registrationPrevious practice nurse experience in a GP practice preferred but not essentialA good working knowledge of Windows, MS Office.Experience with Best Practice and previous accreditation experience will be an advantage.Excellent organisational and time management skillsHigh level interpersonal skills to relate well to patients, staff and health care professionals.Passion for your role to take pride in seeing the service grow and be successful.Able to commit to required hours, including after hours

After Hours Requirements : No

Salary Information : 38 - $45 per hour.
