Litton Andrews (Litton Associates Pty Ltd) – providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with staffing, practice and business solutions. Our client is a leading provider of non-invasive vascular testing services, focused on the early detection and management of vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysm, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and varicose veins. Established in 1994, the practice is owned and operated by practicing vascular clinicians delivering high-quality patient-focused care. With 4 state-of-the-art diagnostic centres across Brisbane, they provide essential testing services to inpatient and outpatient communities.

Role

We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join this high-performing team of clinical and administrative staff on a permanent, part-time basis (4 days per week across Monday to Friday). The role will work across the Chermside and North Lakes practices and travel will be required. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar Private Specialist Practice environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting patients with general enquiries
  • Welcome patients to the practice, manage and coordinate appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling using Shexie software
  • Prepare and run patient clinics, including billing and receipting of all patient consultations
  • Provide administrative, reception and secretarial support to 5 Vascular Surgeons, 4 Sonographers and the Practice Manager alongside other Medical Receptionists
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in a similar specialist environment
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and Private Health Fund billing processes
  • Team player who can also work independently and contribute effectively to a small team
  • Experience using a medical software platform to manage day-to-day tasks (e.g., Shexie, Genie and/or Gentu)
  • Ability to travel to Chermside and North Lakes clinics as rostered
Remuneration

A competitive hourly rate between $32–$38 per hour + super is offered, negotiable based on experience. Free car parking is available at the North Lakes practice.
