Newton Moore Senior High School (SHS) provides students from Year 7 to 12 with a personalised educational experience and has a strong sense of community.
The Role involves delivering a responsive student support service by coordinating administrative functions within the Student Services team. The successful applicant will manage reception duties, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, identify student needs for timely referrals to support staff, maintain student databases and records, and support attendance, behaviour, and personal data systems. A key aspect is generating reports and correspondence, contributing to strategy development, and supporting the Principal and Student Services team with accurate and timely information.
Core administrative duties include developing materials and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures. The role requires collaboration across school teams and support for events, excursions, and special projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidentiality, efficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement in administrative processes to foster a well-organised, student-focused environment.
Responsibilities- Manage reception duties and coordinate a range of administrative functions within the Student Services team.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; identify student needs for referrals to appropriate support staff.
- Maintain student databases and records; support systems related to attendance, behaviour, and personal data.
- Generate reports and correspondence; contribute to strategy development; provide timely information to the Principal and Student Services team.
- Develop materials and ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
- Collaborate across school teams and provide support for events, excursions and special projects.
- Uphold confidentiality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in administrative processes.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
