Advoc8 is transforming the way government facing teams navigate the political landscape.

Following the launch of Pulse , our innovative political monitoring tool, we're growing fast - and we're looking for a Research and Data Lead to help power the political insights our customers rely on daily.

In this role, you'll lead the development and maintenance of our political datasets, manage the systems that keep them accurate and up to date, and work across teams to ensure our data is of the highest quality and relevance. You'll report to our Product Manager and collaborate closely with customer-facing and engineering teams to deliver exceptional political intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of our data roadmap, ensuring data quality and integrity across the platform
  • Proactively source and manage contact data, including MPs, advisers and public servants
  • Design and maintain structured processes for updating and enriching our datasets
  • Work with our Product and Engineering teams to integrate political data into platform features
  • Identify gaps in coverage and drive continuous improvements in accuracy and scope
  • Support ad hoc research and analysis to help internal stakeholders
  • Manage and mentor junior data support roles

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in politics, public policy, data or a related field
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to solving problems
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and structured data
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Experience managing projects or contributing to project delivery
  • Understanding of Australian political systems, Parliament, and public service structures
  • Experience managing data workflows or content pipelines highly regarded

Hours and pay

This is a part-time, 3 day per week role with the opportunity to go full-time for the right person. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
