Key Role: Data Support Expertise

Job Description

The role of a Data Support Expertise is to provide professional guidance on data management practices, deliver training sessions and engagement activities for researchers, and offer support for data tools such as REDCap and LabArchives.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert advice on data management best practices
  • Conduct training and engagement activities for researchers to enhance their skills in working with data
  • Assist in the support of data tools like REDCap and LabArchives

This position will work closely with the Research Data Team Lead and other stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the Research Technology Services team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in supporting research data activities or direct experience working with large or complex datasets in settings such as universities, eResearch environments, or scientific organizations.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification and/or significant relevant experience in data support
  • Strong understanding of data management practices and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with the national eResearch infrastructure landscape and available tools and services for researchers
