At Transgrid, we are building ourControl Centre capability to strengthen the resilience of Australia's high-voltage transmission network. We are seeking a Real-time System Operations Specialist to join our System Resilience team and play a pivotal role in delivering operational technology solutions that will support our control centre well beyond 2031.

What you'll do
  • Lead and support initiatives including a major SCADA/EMS upgrade
  • Translate operational needs into robust technical requirements
  • Conduct user acceptance testing, defect resolution and validation of solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to optimise system design
  • Identify and deliver quick wins to improve control room operations by 2026
  • Act as delegate for the Future Control Centre Manager when required
  • Drive continuous improvement, cultural change and customer-focused outcomes
What you'll bring
  • Proven experience in control centre operations (energy or utilities sector preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of operational technology systems in real-time environments
  • Understanding of HV transmission networks, control, protection and communication systems
  • Experience in user acceptance testing, SCADA systems, and fault finding
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and project teams
  • Leadership or coordination experience, with the ability to guide small teams
  • Resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
