The Company:

My client is a well-established, privately owned Australian national express road freight business with depotsin Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth and Adelaide, supported by a strong network of partner agents in key regional areas.

The Role:

After a period of continued growth my client's business has identified the need for a high calibre BDM to continue building and maintaining the customer portfolio in Queensland. Reporting to the State Manager and National Sales Manager, you will be personally responsible for developing new relationships with targeted customers. Naturally, for a role at this level you will have already proven yourself in your career to date, and will welcome the opportunity to develop and maintain a new customer base in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Initiate, develop, and implement sales strategies for the State, in line with corporate strategies and targets.

· Identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.

· Build a dynamic sales pipeline, convert and onboard new customers.

· Assist with the company strategic direction, specifically focusing on new customers.

· Liaise with the Senior Management Team to ensure that the requirements of new and existing customers are met.

· Business partnering with customers through regular contact and maintaining a win-win approach to the ongoing relationship.

· Liaise with all State Operations Managers, Customer Service, IT and Finance to ensure that company and customer objectives are achieved.

Skills and Experience:

· Experience in the express road freight industry within the Queensland market segment preferred, but not essential.

· The ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships externally and internally.

· Strong knowledge of the Sales Process and experience in Value Selling.

· Ability to think on your feet to find the best solution to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

· High level computer skills and experience using CRM Systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
