About the role

Based in our Balmain office and reporting to the Communications Manager, this is a creative and varied role where no two days are the same. You will be the go-to person for keeping our people connected and engaged — from crafting newsletters and managing the intranet, to supporting events, social content, CEO admin & communications.

Think of it as part communications, part culture champion, and part creative support. You will work side-by-side with our Communications Manager, the People & Culture team, the CEO and business leaders, while also getting exposure to external media and PR projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is a communications whizz and organisational unicorn or you could be early in your communications career and looking to learn, grow, and get hands-on experience across a wide range of projects in a supportive, values-driven environment.

What you'll do
  • Bring our culture to life through internal communications and events
  • Keep our intranet and newsletters fresh, engaging, and on-brand
  • Create and share content that tells AV's story on LinkedIn and other channels
  • Jump in on media and PR activity when needed, helping us stay ahead of the curve
  • Support the CEO with adhoc admin, diary management, travel and with comms-related events
What you'll bring
  • A passion for communication and storytelling – you know how to make messages land
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail
  • A creative streak and confidence using digital tools (bonus if you are handy with photography or video)
  • Organisational skills to keep projects and calendars ticking along
  • A collaborative, can-do approach – you enjoy working with different teams and jumping in where needed
