About The Client

Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Disability Planner for a casual 12-month temporary assignment.

About The Role

As a Disability Planner, you will support the planning network through delivering core initiatives and projects to enhance capacity and engagement with participants. Your key duties include:

  1. Analyzing participant records using policies, guidance, and legislation to make funding decisions and reduce overspending.
  2. Communicating with participants and their representatives via telephone to identify circumstances and spending patterns.
  3. Maintaining high-quality records, demonstrating competency with IT systems, and adhering to process guidelines.
  4. Researching and reviewing decisions, managing moderately complex cases with higher-level staff support.
  5. Completing administrative and data entry tasks related to participants.
  6. Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators and planning targets.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. Experience in roles such as Planner, Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator, or Disability Employment Consultant.
  2. A background in disability or the public sector is highly regarded.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  4. Ability to manage difficult conversations.
  5. Proficiency in IT and data analysis.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
Benefits

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
  • $43.82 per hour + super.
  • Multiple locations available: Parramatta, Wollongong.
