
Disability Plan Coordinator

Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Disability Planner for a casual 12-month temporary assignment.
About The RoleAs a Disability Planner, you will support the planning network through delivering core initiatives and projects to enhance capacity and engagement with participants. Your key duties include:
- Analyzing participant records using policies, guidance, and legislation to make funding decisions and reduce overspending.
- Communicating with participants and their representatives via telephone to identify circumstances and spending patterns.
- Maintaining high-quality records, demonstrating competency with IT systems, and adhering to process guidelines.
- Researching and reviewing decisions, managing moderately complex cases with higher-level staff support.
- Completing administrative and data entry tasks related to participants.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators and planning targets.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience in roles such as Planner, Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator, or Disability Employment Consultant.
- A background in disability or the public sector is highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage difficult conversations.
- Proficiency in IT and data analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- ASAP start date pending clearance.
- Casual 12-month temporary assignment.
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
- $43.82 per hour + super.
- Multiple locations available: Parramatta, Wollongong.
- Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete a federal police check.
