Lead Business Analyst – New South Wales

Location: Sydney, New South Wales

Contract: 6 Month Fixed-Term

Merkle is a leading data-driven Customer Experience Management (CXM) company that specializes in the delivery of unique, personalized customer experiences across platforms and devices. We are seeking a skilled Agile Business Analyst with a strong CX focus and skillset to join us on a Fixed-Term, 6 Month Contract. This is a high-impact digital transformation project requiring a deep understanding of complex booking flows and secure processes.

Business Intelligence Analyst – EVT

Location: Australia (EVT network)

About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will support the delivery of data solutions that drive business performance. You'll work closely with senior BI developers and business stakeholders to support project-based initiatives and business-as-usual operations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their BI career who is passionate about learning, growing, and contributing to a data-informed culture in a dynamic industry.

You will be a strong communicator with a growth mindset, commercially astute, and confident in transforming complex datasets into simple, powerful insights that influence senior stakeholders and help shape EVT's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior BI developers in the delivery of end-to-end data projects and reports using SQL and Power BI.
  • Provide BAU support for existing BI reports and data models.
  • Assist with ad hoc data requests and stakeholder support.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Maintain documentation and develop solutions using reproducible and maintainable approaches.
  • Support report adoption by delivering user training and proactively identifying challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data governance, data quality, and process improvements.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, working with customer and commercial data to generate actionable insights and measurable impact.
  • Experience developing advanced Power BI reports and SQL scripts.
  • Strong commercial acumen, business judgment and experience with commercial storytelling.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highly analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
