Job Overview

Position: Community/Disability Support Worker at Advantage Healthcare Support

Location: TURRAMURRA, Sydney region, New South Wales, Australia

Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive, flexible, and client-focused support to assist clients to meet their physical and mental health goals as set in their NDIS plan.
  • Plan clients' activities and other social outings.
  • Develop connections with the community and help clients achieve their goals.
  • Assist with daily living, domestic tasks, social support, transport, and community outings.
  • Willing to do both Support Work and Assistant in Nursing (AIN).
  • Willing to be on-call and travel to different areas.
Requirements
  • Must be open for minimum 2-hour service blocks.
  • Must be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am to 1pm.
  • Must be driving.
  • Service in TURRAMURRA.
Other Requirements
  • Fluent in English.
  • Current full Australian driver's license and own car.
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Experience in Manual Handling, challenging behaviours, and other high-care skills.
  • Previous experience in Disability Support or Assistant in Nursing (AIN).

About The Role

Your role is to provide exceptional service whilst supporting clients to meet their goals as set out in their NDIS plan. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Intensive, flexible, and responsive client-focused support with the aim of assisting clients to improve their physical and mental health.
  • Plan clients' activities and other social outings.
  • Develop connections with the community and help clients achieve their goals.
  • Assist in daily living, domestic tasks, social support, transport, and community outings.
  • Willing to do both Support Work and Assistant in Nursing (AIN).
  • Willing to be on-call and travel to different areas.

This is a casual employment position offering an attractive hourly rate depending on experience and availability.
